King Tutankhamen (King Tut) had a bed made out of ebony and gold. The Egyptian pharaohs all had beds, common people just slept on the ground or palm bows that were heaped on the corner of their home was their bed. Of course, now beds come in all sizes and shapes, even waterbeds.
